Role Overview

We are looking for a GeM Expert Sales / Sales Support to strengthen our government sales vertical via the Government e-Marketplace (GeM). The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing GeM operations, supporting sales teams, and converting public sector opportunities into revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the company's end-to-end presence on the GeM portal, including product/service listings (network equipment, broadband, cybersecurity, cloud, servers).
  • Search, track, and evaluate government tenders (RFQs, RFPs) aligned with our offerings.
  • Prepare and submit technical and commercial bids in collaboration with internal teams and OEMs.
  • Actively respond to buyer queries and follow up on GeM-generated leads.
  • Ensure listing compliance, product certifications, and documentation readiness.
  • Coordinate with the Sales, Pre-sales, and Delivery teams for smooth execution of GeM orders.
  • Maintain dashboards, bid calendars, and compliance trackers for GeM operations.
  • Stay updated on the latest government procurement policies and GeM platform enhancements.

Required Qualifications

  • 25 years of hands-on experience with GeM portal operations in an IT / Telecom company.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, broadband, cloud, and security products.
  • Familiarity with GeM bidding norms, buyer interaction, and tender documentation.
  • Good communication skills and strong coordination abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PDF documentation, and online procurement systems.

Preferred

  • Experience working on tenders with NIC, BSNL, BEL, Defense, or PSU clients.
  • Exposure to OEM partnerships (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, HPE, Microsoft).
  • Knowledge of public procurement rules (GFR, MSME preference, TReDS)
