Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a General Duty Assistant (GDA) at our Delhi, India location. The GDA will be responsible for assisting patients with daily activities, including hygiene care, meal preparation, and mobility assistance. Monitoring patient health, maintaining cleanliness, and reporting any significant changes to the nursing or medical team will also be essential functions of this role. The GDA will foster a safe and respectful environment, ensuring the best possible care for patients in their homes.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in providing personal care services such as hygiene care, bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance
- Basic knowledge of patient health monitoring, including checking vital signs and recognizing changes in condition
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and communicate effectively with patients and families
- Physical stamina and ability to assist with patient mobility, including lifting, transferring, and positioning
- Previous experience in home care or healthcare services is an added advantage
- Ability to maintain patient records and accurately report observations to the care team
- Certification as a General Duty Assistant (GDA) or equivalent training is preferred
- Compassionate demeanor, patience, and dedication to providing high-quality care
- Basic understanding of hygiene and infection control protocols
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse patient needs
