We are looking for a skilled and motivated L1 Linux/GCP Support Engineer to provide first-level technical support for our cloud-based infrastructure, focusing primarily on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Linux environments. In this role, you will monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with higher-level engineers to ensure system stability and performance. Key Responsibilities:
- System Monitoring and Response:
- Monitor system alerts and respond to incidents and support requests promptly.
- Troubleshooting and Resolution:
- Diagnose and resolve basic technical issues involving Linux servers, GCP services, and network connectivity.
- Escalate more complex problems to higher-level engineers as per escalation protocols.
- Cloud and System Administration:
- Assist with configuration and maintenance of GCP services like Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and Networking.
- Perform basic Linux system administration tasks, including user management, permissions, and file systems.
- Documentation and Process Adherence:
- Document all support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Follow standard operating procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Provide regular updates and communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and third-party vendors.
- Collaborate with higher-level engineers to resolve escalated issues.
- On-Call Support:
- Participate in shift rotations and provide on-call support as needed for 24/7 coverage.
