Job Description

The GCP Data Engineer will design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud data architectures on Google Cloud Platform. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, secure, and efficient data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop data pipelines using GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Functions, Composer, Cloud Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.
  • Write efficient, maintainable, and scalable Python code for data processing, automation, and integration.
  • Implement ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and store structured and unstructured data.
  • Manage and optimize data storage solutions for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline performance, resolving technical issues proactively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Stay updated with GCP services, updates, and best practices to enhance data architecture.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in data engineering on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong Python programming skills for data engineering tasks.
  • Expertise in GCP services: BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Pub/Sub, Composer.
  • Knowledge of data modeling, warehousing, and pipeline architecture.
  • Experience implementing ETL/ELT processes and managing data quality.
  • Google Professional Data Engineer certification (preferred).
