GCP Infrastructure Engineer

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior GCP Infrastructure Architect/Engineer with 7–12 years of experience to design, build, and scale large-scale cloud infrastructure environments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in infrastructure architecture, large-scale provisioning, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with a focus on building cloud environments from scratch.

Core Technical Skills:

Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services including:

• Compute Engine
• VPC & Networking
• IAM & Security
• Load Balancing
• Storage services

Proven experience in infrastructure design and setup from scratch.

Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure automation and management.

Experience with large-scale provisioning and orchestration of cloud resources (thousands of VMs and services).

Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, and distributed systems architecture.

Experience in capacity planning and high-availability system design.

Good to Have:

Familiarity with multi-region and multi-zone GCP deployments.

Experience with container orchestration (GKE) is a plus (but not primary focus).

Exposure to cost optimization strategies in cloud environments.

Basic understanding of CI/CD tools (not core requirement but beneficial).
