Position Summary

Level: Consultant, Managed Services

As an experienced Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines. Need-basis you will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements.

Work you'll do:

  • Design and operate GKE clusters (Standard and Autopilot) supporting multi-tenant client workloads.
  • Implement workload isolation, namespace strategies, network policies, and quota / priority class governance.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) and GitOps flows (ArgoCD, Flux).
  • Develop and maintain Helm charts, Kustomize overlays, and Terraform infrastructure-as-code.
  • Configure GKE networking: VPC-native clusters, private clusters, ingress/egress controls, Cloud Load Balancing, Anthos Service Mesh or Istio.
  • Implement security best practices: Workload Identity, Binary Authorization, Policy Controller, secret management (Cloud KMS, Secret Manager, External Secrets), CIS benchmarks.
  • Stand up observability: Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Cloud Trace, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana.
  • Drive FinOps on GKE — right-sizing, Autopilot vs Standard trade-offs, spot/preemptible workloads, Kubecost or native cost reporting.
  • Participate in on-call rotation, incident response, RCA, and capacity planning.

As a multidisciplinary group of strategists, designers, engineers, and operations specialists, we deliver end-to-end solutions - from initial concept and agile development to ongoing digital operations - enabling clients to experiment, iterate, and scale digital initiatives with confidence and agility. We support clients across domains such as strategy, commerce, marketing, sales, and service, helping them realize their digital ambitions through flexible, scalable teams. Our expertise spans the full digital lifecycle, including customer research, experience design, platform development, content production, and marketing automation. By bridging the gap between strategy and execution, we empower organizations to achieve measurable outcomes and deliver exceptional customer experiences in an ever-evolving digital landscape.

Qualifications

Must Have Skills / Project Experience / Certifications:

  • 3 - 6 years of hands-on experience.
  • 4+ years operating Kubernetes in production; 2+ years specifically on GKE.
  • Strong Linux, container, and networking fundamentals (Docker, OCI, CNI).
  • Production experience with Terraform and Helm; proficiency in Go, Python, or Bash.
  • Hands-on with GitOps tooling — ArgoCD or Flux.
  • Solid grasp of GCP IAM, Workload Identity, Cloud KMS, VPC networking.
  • CI/CD pipelines and progressive delivery patterns (canary, blue/green, feature flags).
  • Observability stacks: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Cloud Operations suite.
  • GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, CKA, or CKAD certification preferred.

Good to have Skills / Project Experience / Certifications:

  • Anthos / Anthos Service Mesh experience.
  • Service mesh fluency: Istio, Cilium, Linkerd.
  • FinOps on Kubernetes (Kubecost, GKE cost allocation, sustained-use and committed-use discounts).
  • Experience running ML / AI workloads on GKE (training, model serving, GPU / TPU node pools, KServe, Ray).
  • Multi-cloud or hybrid Kubernetes exposure.
  • Prior Operate / managed services delivery experience

Education:

  • BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university
