Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced GCP DevOps Engineer to support a leading USA-based media client. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), CI/CD automation, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native DevOps practices.
You will be responsible for building, automating, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available cloud environments to support data-driven applications and analytics platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and data platform deployments.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
- Implement containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (GKE preferred).
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies across environments.
- Manage logging, monitoring, and alerting using tools such as Stackdriver (Cloud Monitoring), Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Collaborate with data engineering, development, and BI teams to streamline deployment workflows.
- Implement DevSecOps best practices, including IAM, network security, and vulnerability management.
- Support production releases and provide incident management during EST shift hours.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - Must Have
- Expertise in Terraform or similar IaC tools.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (GKE preferred).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, IAM, and cloud security best practices.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
- Good scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, or Shell scripting).
- Experience working in data-driven or analytics-heavy environments is a plus.
