GCP Data Engineer

We are seeking a skilled GCP Data Engineer with 4+ years of experience in Python and SQL to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data processing, cloud services, and data warehousing.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and SQL

Work With GCP Services Such As

BigQuery (data warehousing)

Cloud Storage

Dataflow / Apache Beam

Cloud Composer (Airflow)

Perform data ingestion, transformation, and integration from multiple sources

Optimize SQL queries for performance and cost efficiency

Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards

Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand requirements

Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues

Implement ETL/ELT processes and automation

Required Skills

4+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Analytics

Strong Proficiency In

Python (Pandas, PySpark is a plus)

SQL (advanced joins, window functions, optimization)

Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Experience with BigQuery and large-scale data processing

Knowledge of ETL/ELT frameworks

Understanding of data modeling (star/snowflake schema)

Familiarity with version control (Git)Good to Have

Experience with Apache Airflow / Cloud Composer

Knowledge of PySpark or Databricks

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines

Understanding of data lakes and lakehouse architecture

Basic knowledge of machine learning workflows

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

Relevant Certifications (optional But Preferred)

Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer
