GCP Data Engineer

We are looking for an experienced GCP Data Engineer to join our client LTIMindtree. If you have strong expertise in BigQuery, ANSI SQL, Dataproc, Datastream, and Python-based data processing, this is a great opportunity to work on large-scale enterprise data and analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines on GCP

Work extensively with BigQuery for large-scale analytics

Develop and optimize complex queries using ANSI SQL

Build distributed data processing workloads using Cloud Dataproc

Implement real-time data ingestion using Datastream

Orchestrate workflows using DAG-based tools (Airflow / Composer)

Use Python for data processing, transformation, and automation

Ensure data quality, governance, and security across pipelines

Optimize BigQuery performance and SQL workloads

Collaborate with Data Analysts, BI teams, and business stakeholders

Mandatory Skills

Strong expertise in ANSI-SQL

Hands-on experience with GCP BigQuery

Experience with GCP Datastream

Experience with Cloud Dataproc

Strong programming skills in Python (Data Engineering)

Experience building DAG-based workflows

Good to Have

PySpark / Spark experience

Airflow / GCP Composer

Knowledge of CI/CD in data engineering

Exposure to BI / visualization tools

Experience working in Agile environments
