Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bengaluru for a GCP Cloud/DevOps Engineer. The role involves designing, building, and managing cloud-based infrastructure using Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Responsibilities include implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automating deployments, ensuring system reliability, performing system administration tasks, and supporting continuous integration pipelines. The position will require collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and scalable cloud solutions for PayRup fintech ecosystem.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on GCP.
- Manage GCP services including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and automation tools.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
- Monitor infrastructure, logs, application health, and system performance.
- Configure networking components such as VPC, VPN, Load Balancers, DNS, Firewall Rules, and IAM policies.
- Ensure cloud security, backup, disaster recovery, and compliance best practices.
- Troubleshoot cloud, deployment, and networking issues.
- Support cloud migration, modernization, and containerization initiatives.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve DevOps processes and cloud efficiency.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with GCP and Kubernetes (GKE).
- Experience with Docker, Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Cloud Build.
- Good knowledge of Linux administration and shell scripting.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Monitoring, and ELK Stack.
- Understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security, and automation concepts.
- Knowledge of databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cloud SQL.
- Scripting experience in Python or Bash.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- GCP Certifications are an added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
Experience
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in Cloud/DevOps Engineering.
