GCP Cloud Automation Engineer

We are looking for a hands-on GCP Cloud Automation Engineer to build and enhance automation capabilities across our Google Cloud Platform environment.

This role will focus on cloud platform automation, self-service enablement, observability, reliability, and operational excellence, with the goal of improving scalability and reducing manual operational effort.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation solutions for GCP platform operations.
• Build self-service capabilities for application onboarding and infrastructure provisioning.
• Automate deployment, operational, monitoring, and support workflows.
• Design and enhance observability, alerting, logging, and operational dashboards.
• Improve platform reliability, resiliency, scalability, and operational readiness.
• Support and troubleshoot GKE / Kubernetes-based platforms.
• Develop reusable infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code.
• Support CI/CD and deployment automation across cloud environments.
• Work closely with platform, application, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable cloud solutions.
• Support cloud incident management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong scripting and automation experience using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Strong experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting Kubernetes / GKE environments.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Strong understanding of cloud monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting.
• Good knowledge of cloud operations, incident management, reliability, and production support practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
