About the Role

We are looking for a skilled GCP Billing Support Engineer (FinOps) to manage and optimize Google Cloud billing operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud cost management, billing investigations, invoice analysis, and FinOps practices, with strong expertise in GCP, Big Query, and SQL. Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end GCP billing investigations and resolve billing-related issues. [Google - GCP Billing | Word]
• Analyze cloud spend, invoices, usage reports, credits, and adjustments. [Google - GCP Billing | Word]
• Monitor and optimize cloud costs using GCP billing and cost management tools. [Google - GCP Billing | Word]
• Perform billing data analysis using SQL and Big Query billing exports. [Google - GCP Billing | Word]
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend cloud cost optimization strategies. [Google - GCP Billing | Word]
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure billing accuracy and governance compliance. [Google - GCP Billing | Word]
• Maintain documentation, audit records, and knowledge repositories for billing operations. [Google - GCP Billing | Word]
• Support cost allocation, chargeback, and governance initiatives using IAM and project hierarchy knowledge. [Google - GCP Billing | Word]

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 4-8 years of experience in GCP Billing, Cloud Support, FinOps, or Cloud Operations. [Google - GCP Billing | Word]
• Strong understanding of GCP pricing models, cloud financial management, and cost optimization. [Google - GCP Billing | Word]
• Hands-on experience with Big Query and SQL for billing analysis. [Google - GCP Billing | Word]
• Google Cloud certifications such as Cloud Digital Leader or Associate Cloud Engineer are preferred. [Google - GCP Billing | Word]
