Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support EXLdata.ai™ agent deployment
  • Establish and operationalize the data stewardship operating model supported by AI agents
  • Build and integrate backend interfaces connecting EXLdata.ai™ agents with client data systems and governance workflows
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects and AI/ML engineers to configure governance, data quality, and lineage agents
  • Drive adoption of AI-assisted stewardship workflows and ensure business engagement across stakeholder teams
  • Support metadata platform integrations and ensure data pipeline reliability and performance
  • Participate in Agile sprints — daily standups, sprint demos, and retrospectives

Qualifications

Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of hands-on backend development experience on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Strong proficiency in backend languages such as Python, Java, or Go
  • Experience with cloud-native GCP services: Cloud Run, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, GCS
  • Familiarity with AI agent frameworks, governance workflows, and metadata platforms
  • Understanding of data governance concepts — lineage, stewardship, data quality, and cataloging
  • Experience with REST API development, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of EXLdata.ai™ platform is a strong plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-facing Agile delivery environment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the insurance domain (Claims, Underwriting, or Policy data)
  • Familiarity with data governance tools such as Collibra, Alation, or similar platforms
  • GCP Professional Certifications: Cloud Developer, Data Engineer, or Architect
  • Experience working with offshore/onshore hybrid delivery models
