We are seeking a highly skilled AI Engineer to join our team and build the next generation of autonomous systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role operates at the cutting edge of the agentic era, moving beyond traditional predictive machine learning to architect sophisticated, tool-using AI agents that drive measurable business outcomes.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying robust AI agents leveraging the unified Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. You will utilize core GCP infrastructure to automate critical business processes, securely interact with diverse enterprise systems, and deliver intelligent, autonomous solutions at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Agentic Architecture: Design and implement scalable, event-driven architectures for single and multi-agent AI systems on GCP using the code-first Agent Development Kit (ADK).
- LLM Integration & Evaluation: Build and fine-tune agentic logic using Google's Gemini models. Develop sophisticated prompting strategies and implement rigorous testing pipelines using the Agent Engine Evaluation Layer and User Simulator.
- Tooling & Integrations: Equip agents with tools using the natively supported Model Context Protocol (MCP) to securely interface with internal data warehouses (BigQuery, Cloud SQL) and external APIs.
- Data Grounding & Memory: Implement advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using Vertex AI Search and the Agentic Data Cloud for factual context. Manage persistent context and conversation history utilizing the Memory Bank.
- Orchestration & Compute: Orchestrate complex agent workflows using the A2A protocol. Deploy workloads across the managed Agent Engine runtime, distributed Agent Executor, or self-hosted Agent Sandbox on GKE based on scale requirements.
- Agent Security & Governance: Implement strict governance utilizing Agent Identities through Cloud IAM rather than traditional service accounts. Secure cross-system agent traffic via the Agent Gateway and apply Model Armor to protect against prompt injection and unauthorized tool use.
Minimum Qualification
- sBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
- .Proven experience in software engineering with strong proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or TypeScript (the fully supported ADK languages)
- .Hands-on experience building, deploying, and managing applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- .Demonstrable experience building applications using Large Language Models (LLMs) (e.g., Gemini)
- .Familiarity with AI agent concepts and code-first frameworks, specifically the Google ADK
- .Experience with software development best practices, including CI/CD, Git, and automated testing
