Role Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations.
- Perform diagnostic endoscopic procedures, including EGDs and colonoscopies.
- Diagnose and manage gastrointestinal disorders and diseases.
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Liaise with team members and multidisciplinary teams for integrated patient care.
- Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
- Participate in clinical research and trials to advance gastrointestinal health.
- Keep abreast of the latest advancements in gastroenterology.
- Provide guidance and support to junior medical staff.
- Engage in continuous professional development and training.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance overall patient care.
- Manage inpatients and outpatients effectively within the hospital setting.
- Adhere to strict health and safety regulations and protocols.
- Participate in community education programs to promote gastrointestinal health awareness.
Qualifications
- DM in Gastroenterology or DNB from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant clinical experience.
- Proven experience in performing endoscopic procedures.
- Strong understanding of gastrointestinal diseases.
- Excellent patient care and assessment skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Prior experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
- Active medical license in India.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Knowledge of current medical software and technologies.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
