Garment Technician

Role Description - Garment Technician

This is a full-time on-site role for a Garment Technician. The Garment Technician will be responsible for performing day-to-day technical tasks related to garment production, pattern making, fabric cutting, stitching, quality control, and fitting. The Garment Technician will work closely with the design and production team. Shall be responsible for customer experience with regard to overall quality and fitting of the product.

Responsibilities:

•                    Liaising with designers, and adapting designs to suit production methods

•                    Making and sizing pre-production garments

•                    Undertaking quality evaluations of materials and checking the quality of the final product

•                    Responding to product queries, including complaints from customers.

•                    Making sure garments can be produced within budget

•                    Overseeing fabric quality and fittings at every stage

•                    Inspect garment quality during the manufacturing process

•                    Troubleshoot and resolve production issues

•                    Train production staff on garment manufacturing techniques

•                    Ensure adherence to quality control standards

•                    Document production processes and quality checks

•                    Improve production efficiency and quality

•                    Review customer returns and make necessary changes to reduce overall return percentage.

 Qualifications

•                    Proficiency in pattern making, fabric cutting, and garment stitching

•                    Knowledge of quality control processes and procedures

•                    Experience in garment fitting and alterations

•                    Attention to detail and ability to maintain high quality standards

•                    Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

•                    Ability to work well in a team environment

•                    Good communication and interpersonal skills

•                    Degree or certification in garment technology or related field

•                    Experience of working with a Women's Wear Brand is mandatory.
