Garment Sample Coordinator acts as the central link between design, merchandising, and production. They manage the lifecycle of apparel samples, overseeing tracking, inventory, and vendor communications to ensure new designs are developed, approved, and delivered on time for client presentations and manufacturing.Key ResponsibilitiesSample Lifecycle Tracking: Monitor the end-to-end development of proto samples, fit samples, size sets, and photo shoot samples.Vendor & Buyer Liaison: Communicate with clients, buyers, and manufacturing units to coordinate requests, provide status updates, and manage delivery timelines.Material Sourcing & Coordination: Facilitate the ordering of fabrics, trims, and embellishments required for sampling.Documentation & Approval: Maintain databases of sample versions, track measurement spec sheets, and coordinate approvals for lab dips, strikes, and design details.Logistics & Inventory: Handle sample shipments (domestic and international), track courier details, and organize sample showrooms or archives.Qualifications & SkillsExperience: 1–3 years in apparel product development, merchandising, or a relevant fashion role.Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of fabric types, garment construction, and general production processes.Organizational Skills: Meticulous attention to detail for cataloging units, logging requests, and meeting tight deadlines.Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Excel, product lifecycle management (PLM) systems, and inventory tracking tools.
