Description
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented QA Engineer with hands-on experience in testing eCommerce applications across web and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of manual and automation testing, API validation, and database querying, with a strong QA thought process and ownership mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual testing for web and mobile applications to ensure quality and user satisfaction.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java / JavaScript / TestNG / Cucumber / Appium.
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured and validate backend integration.
- Validate database operations by executing SQL queries (preferably PostgreSQL).
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and define test coverage.
- Identify, document, and track defects through the complete software development lifecycle.
- Participate in regression testing, UAT support, and release sign-offs.
- Ensure proper test planning, test case design, and defect reporting for every release cycle.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in testing eCommerce or transactional applications.
- Hands-on experience in web and mobile app testing.
- Experience with API testing and validation (REST, JSON, authentication methods).
- Good understanding of SQL queries and database testing (PostgreSQL preferred).
- Solid QA analytical and problem-solving mindset ability to trace issues across systems.
- Automation experience with Java / JavaScript, TestNG / Cucumber, and Appium for UI and API testing.
- Knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies.
Bonus Skills
- Exposure to RabbitMQ or Kafka (message queue systems).
- Knowledge of Performance Testing using tools like JMeter or Gatling.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Attention to detail and ownership of assigned modules.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
