About The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Sr Unity Game Developer to join our dynamic team at either our Mumbai or Bangalore office. This role requires a passionate individual with a strong background in mobile game development, particularly with Unity, to lead the end-to-end development of engaging mobile games. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including designers, artists, QA, and product managers to deliver high-quality gaming experiences. You will be responsible for understanding game design documents, translating concepts into functional prototypes, and ensuring seamless integration of various SDKs and APIs. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the growth and success of Games2win's diverse game portfolio.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in mobile game development, with at least 2 years dedicated to working with Unity. A strong understanding of iOS and Android platforms is essential, along with experience in integrating third-party SDKs such as MoPub, Google Play Services, Facebook SDKs, and other ad networks. Candidates must have a proven track record of shipping at least three games on the App Store or Google Play Store. A solid grasp of core game development principles, design patterns, and device-specific APIs is required. Proficiency in Unity3D is mandatory, along with familiarity with Xcode, Objective-C, and Android Studio. Experience with web services, databases, and disk access APIs for non-gaming functionalities is also preferred. Educational qualifications should include a B.E./B.Tech or MCA, with relevant certifications considered an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret game design documents to understand project requirements and collaborate with producers and artists to plan development strategies.
- Take ownership of the entire game development lifecycle, from initial concept to final publishing, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- Rapidly prototype game ideas to evaluate concepts and mechanics, facilitating iterative development and refinement.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Coordinate with art, design, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of game components.
- Stay updated on the latest technological advancements, tools, and APIs relevant to mobile game development, and suggest improvements or new features.
- Debug, profile, and optimize game code to enhance performance and memory management on mobile devices.
- Implement and troubleshoot third-party SDKs and APIs within Unity to support features such as advertising, analytics, and social integrations.
- Participate in code reviews and team meetings to promote best practices and collaborative development.
