Role Description

As a Game Designer at Rendered Ideas, you will work full time on-site in Mumbai, collaborating with artists, programmers, and producers to design fun, polished game experiences. You will create and refine game concepts, mechanics, systems, and progression, documenting them clearly for the development team. On a day-to-day basis, you will build and iterate on levels, tune difficulty and balance, and analyze player feedback and game data to improve engagement and retention. You will prototype new ideas, write and update design documentation, and ensure that gameplay, UI, and game economy are consistent with the overall vision. You will also participate in regular playtests, provide constructive feedback, and help maintain a high standard of quality across both mobile and console-style game experiences.

Qualifications

• Strong game design skills in defining core mechanics, game systems, and player progression.
• Proficiency in level design, with the ability to create engaging, well-paced levels that support the intended gameplay experience.
• Hands-on experience with game development processes and tools, collaborating effectively with engineering and art teams.
• Understanding of designing for different platforms, especially mobile games; exposure to console-style game design is a plus.
• Ability to analyze player behavior and game metrics to inform design decisions and balance gameplay.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including experience creating concise, actionable design documentation.
• Collaborative mindset, openness to feedback, and ability to iterate quickly based on playtests and team input.
• Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, Interactive Media, or equivalent practical experience in game development.
• Portfolio or shipped titles demonstrating your game and level design capabilities.

Office Location - Mira road, Mumbai (onsite)

Working Hours – Mon to Fri 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM (flexible timing)
