Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Oracle HCM Technical Consultant to support and deliver technical solutions across Oracle HCM Cloud modules. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on expertise in HCM Extracts, Fast Formulas, HDL, BI Publisher, and OTBI, along with excellent troubleshooting and collaboration skills to support integrations, reporting, data conversion, and technical enhancements in an onsite-offshore delivery model.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Delivery & Support
- Design, develop, and maintain HCM Extracts for payroll, benefits, and third-party integrations.
- Develop and enhance Fast Formulas (Payroll, Absence, Compensation, and Time-related formulas).
- Perform data loads and conversions using HDL and support ongoing mass updates.
- Design and develop advanced reports using BI Publisher (BIP) and real-time / historical analytics using OTBI.
- Support inbound and outbound integrations with payroll systems and third-party vendors.
Reporting & Analytics
- Create pixel-perfect reports using BI Publisher templates (RTF).
- Develop and optimize OTBI subject areas, dashboards, and custom analytics for HR and business users.
- Troubleshoot performance issues related to reports and extracts.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with functional consultants to understand requirements and propose optimal technical solutions.
- Coordinate with onsite and offshore teams for development, testing, and deployment activities.
- Act as a technical point of contact for client stakeholders and third-party vendors.
Testing & Deployment
- Support system testing (SIT), UAT, and production deployments.
- Assist in defect analysis, root-cause identification, and resolution.
- Ensure adherence to Oracle best practices and security standards.
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including:
- Technical design documents (TDDs)
- Extract and integration specifications
- Deployment and support guides
- Support knowledge transfer sessions for offshore teams and client technical teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience working with Oracle HCM Cloud.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- HCM Extracts
- Fast Formulas
- HCM Data Loader (HDL)
- BI Publisher (BIP)
- OTBI
- Experience supporting Oracle HCM modules such as Core HR, Absence Management, Payroll, Time & Labor, Compensation, or Benefits.
- Proven experience in onsite-offshore delivery models.
- Solid understanding of HCM data model, security, and role-based access.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with HCM integrations involving payroll providers or third-party vendors.
- Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
- Exposure to global HR processes, compliance, and statutory requirements.
- Experience supporting post-production application support and maintenance.
