Furniture Designer

Responsibilities :

Designing of all types of furniture like commercial, residential , retail, luxury furniture,

modular etc.

Preparation of Presentation Drawing, detailed working drawing, furniture production

knowledge (is a must)

Production drawings, Dimensional drawings, Main assembly drawings, Parts

drawings. Is a MUST

Experience in Furniture Designing, Costing, BOM, production and execution for all

types of furniture. IS A MUST

Material Selection : Work with the Product Engineers and Procurement Managers on

all material selections.

Interface with other departments to develop solutions and provide technical insights

to resolve technical issue.

In-depth knowledge of furniture systems, material, finishes, techniques and industry

trends and finishes.

Generate sample designs using computer-aided design (CAD), card models,

sketches or hard prototype's

Use software packages such as AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks and Photoshop

prepare detailed final designs.

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum Bachelor's or PG Degree in Furniture Design or related discipline.

5-10 years relevant experience in Furniture Designing, production & execution for

retail, hospitality & residential Projects.

Proficient Knowledge and Experience in Auto Cad, Google Sketch Up, 3d Max,

Rendering, Photoshop and other related software.

Having Sound Knowledge of Furniture Designing , bills of materials, finishes and

latest industry trends.

Creative and practical ability, drawing skills and strong visual awareness

Communication and collaborative skills, particularly if working in a multidisciplinary

practice
