We are seeking a talentedFurniture Designerwith proven experience in developingdetailed shop drawings for high-end customised residential and office furniture. The ideal candidate must have strong technical knowledge ofwood, metal, polish, and marble applications, and the ability to translate design concepts into precise, production-ready drawings for our factory team.
Key Responsibilities
- Shop Drawings:Prepare accurate and detailed shop drawings for customised furniture, including joinery, finishes, and installation details.
- Design Development:Work closely with architects, interior designers, and clients to convert concepts into technical designs.
- Material Application:Ensure designs incorporate appropriate use of wood, veneers, laminates, metals, polishes, and marble/stone finishes.
- Factory Coordination:Collaborate with production and technical teams to ensure designs are feasible and aligned with manufacturing capabilities.
- Detailing & Accuracy:Provide precise dimensions, hardware specifications, and material indications for factory production.
- Problem Solving:Modify and refine drawings based on site conditions, production limitations, or client feedback.
- Quality & Standards:Maintain high-quality detailing standards suitable for luxury furniture manufacturing.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Education:Diploma/Degree in Furniture Design, Interior Design, Product Design, or related field.
- Experience:36 years of experience designing and detailingluxury/customised furniturefor factory production.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency inAutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar design software.
- Strong understanding of joinery techniques, finishes, and furniture ergonomics.
- Knowledge of production processes forwoodworking, metal fabrication, polishing, and marble applications.
