This is an opportunity to strengthen controls, modernize workflows, and develop a high-performing team.

As an Onboarding & Transitions Operations Manager within Middle Office Operations, you… lead end-to-end onboarding, transitions, and restructures while ensuring accuracy of accounting and tax records. You will partner directly with end clients and onshore stakeholders to deliver complex projects across global time zones, often with ambiguity and evolving requirements. You will also drive strong governance, controls, and team performance through disciplined SLA, workforce, and compliance management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead intense onboarding and transition projects end-to-end, managing scope, timelines, and delivery across regions.
  • Manage team performance through coaching, goal setting, and formal performance reviews.
  • Partner with clients and onshore stakeholders to resolve issues, set expectations, and deliver a proactive service model.
  • Oversee compliance and operational risk controls, ensuring adherence to internal and external requirements.
  • Drive SLA governance by tracking service performance, escalating risks, and closing actions with clear ownership.
  • Plan workforce capacity to meet delivery needs, balancing BAU and project demand.
  • Deliver new client onboarding including tax and accounting transitions and ingestion of accounting data.
  • Execute incremental transitions and restructures of existing client records with strong change discipline.
  • Analyze tax impacts of onboarding and restructures and ensure correct downstream processing.
  • Reconcile onboarded positions to source data, validating completeness and accuracy of accounting and tax records.
  • Document and periodically review client-specific procedures and SOPs, supporting internal/external audits and control testing.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Demonstrate strong end-to-end knowledge of Middle Office operations and transition processing.
  • Apply expertise in fund accounting concepts (e.g., GAAP, GAV recon, account reconciliation) and lifecycle events.
  • Handle ambiguity effectively while delivering results in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
  • Communicate clearly with end clients and internal partners to drive timely query resolution.
  • Ensure high standards of data integrity and accuracy across fund and client records.
  • Manage stakeholders and governance routines with consistent reporting and issue closure discipline.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (or equivalent experience).

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Hold a Chartered Accountant qualification and/or an MBA.
  • Demonstrate prior people-management experience leading teams through change and delivery pressure.
  • Strengthen controls environments by establishing policies, procedures, and measurable compliance routines.
  • Build standardized workflows across handoffs, reducing rework and improving cycle times.
  • Provide transparent MIS and business performance insights to senior management.
  • Support internal and external audit engagements, including operational risk control reviews and evidence readiness.
  • Implement training plans that improve team mobility, coverage, and capability depth.
