Role details:
The role involves managing equity portfolios within a life insurance framework, ensuring optimal risk-adjusted returns while adhering to regulatory and internal investment guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and actively monitor equity portfolios.
  • Conduct in-depth fundamental research, including financial analysis, industry tracking, and company interactions.
  • Generate high-conviction investment ideas and build a robust investment pipeline.
  • Track portfolio performance and take timely buy/sell decisions.
  • Collaborate with the broader investment team for macro insights and sector views.
  • Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations and internal risk frameworks.
  • Prepare investment notes, portfolio reviews, and performance reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in investment discussions and contribute to strategy formulation.
Qualifications & Competencies
  • Overall, 12-15 years experience with relevant 3-5 years of experience in equity fund management with demonstrated expertise in mid-cap and small-cap investing.
  • MBA (Finance) / CFA / CA or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
  • Good understanding of market cycles, sector dynamics, and stock selection frameworks.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements applicable to insurance investments is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a structured investment environment.
  • Established track record of alpha generation in mid/small cap space
  • Strong network with company managements and market participants
