Fund Accounting Team Lead

We are seeking a Fund Accounting Team Lead to lead and manage a team of executives and finance professionals within the Fund Accounting unit. You will be responsible for providing direction, ensuring strict compliance with mutual fund regulations, and actively identifying potential risks. This role requires a professional who can collaborate with other departments, train and mentor team members, and foster a culture of continuous learning.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of executives and finance professionals in the Fund Accounting unit. Provide clear direction, set expectations, and ensure efficient and effective teamwork to support the Investments function in achieving fund objectives.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure strict compliance with mutual fund regulations, actively identify potential risks, and implement appropriate internal controls related to NAV (Net Asset Value) to safeguard the scheme's financial health and integrity.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other departments, such as Unit Administrative Operations, Custody, and the Investments function, to achieve broader business goals and meet regulatory requirements around Fund Accounting.
• Training & Development: Train, mentor, and support team members in their professional development. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team, ensuring skills and knowledge are up-to-date and aligned with organizational needs.

Skills Required:

• Proven experience in team leadership within a finance or fund accounting environment.
• Strong knowledge of mutual fund regulations and compliance requirements.
• Expertise in risk identification and implementing internal controls related to NAV.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and develop team members.

QUALIFICATION:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or a professional certification (e.g., CA, CFA).
