Functional tester

Roles & Responsibilities

• Own and manage end-to-end delivery of IT testing projects
• Perform functional testing across core banking and risk IT systems
• Prepare test plans, test strategies, and estimates based on requirements
• Manage a small team of testers, assign tasks, and ensure timely delivery
• Liaise with business analysts, developers, and senior stakeholders
• Report and track defects, ensuring effective defect lifecycle management
• Follow and contribute to Agile and Waterfall testing methodologies
• Provide daily/weekly test status reports and highlight risks

Mandatory Skills

• Proven experience in end-to-end functional testing for banking applications
• Strong understanding of Risk IT and Core Banking systems
• Experience preparing test documentation (test cases, strategy, etc.)
• Familiar with Agile and Waterfall project delivery models
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Hands-on experience in defect management and reporting
