We are looking for experienced Functional Test Engineers to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual and functional testing, with a deep understanding of software development life cycles and quality assurance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business and functional requirements to create detailed test plans and test cases
- Execute test cases manually and log defects with comprehensive documentation
- Validate fixes and perform regression testing as needed
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to ensure quality in the development process
- Participate in all phases of testing life cycle (test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting)
- Ensure traceability of test cases to requirements and maintain test artifacts
- Provide estimates for test efforts and contribute to sprint planning (if Agile)
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices
Required Skills:
- 2 to 7 years of hands-on experience in functional and manual testing
- Experience in test case design, execution, and defect management
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC
- Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail, or similar
- Experience in web, mobile, and API testing
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
- Good documentation and communication skills
- Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies
Preferred Skills:
- Basic understanding of automation testing tools like Selenium, Postman, or similar
- Experience in banking, insurance, healthcare, or e-commerce domains is a plus
- Knowledge of SQL for database validation
- ISTQB certification is a plus
