Job location : Qatar ( Ras Laffan)

Qualification: Bachelors degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:

• Bachelors degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering with a strong emphasis on automation, or a closely related engineering discipline.
• A minimum of 10 years of demonstrable and progressive experience in the functional testing and commissioning of Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) within the oil and gas industry, with a significant portion of that experience focused on procedure development.
• Qualified as one or more of the following from a recognised body:

1. TV Functional Safety Engineer (TUV FS Eng or FSEr)
2. TV Functional Safety Expert (TUV FS Expert)
3. TV Functional Safety Certified Professional (TUV FSCP)
4. Certified Functional Safety Expert (CFSE) (Exida)
5. Certified Functional Safety Professional (CFSP) (Exida)

• In-depth knowledge of ICSS architectures (e.g., Emerson Delta V, Siemens, Honeywell, ABB, Schneider Electric), communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP), and associated software tools.
• Strong understanding of process control principles, safety instrumented systems (SIS), and relevant industry standards for functional safety (IEC 61508, 61511)
• Proven experience in testing, commissioning or maintenance of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and F&G.
• Hands on experience with industrial controls (DCS, PLC and SCADA)
• Familiarity with P&IDs, control narratives, cause and effect matrices, and safety requirements specifications.
• Proven ability to accurately interpret complex engineering drawings and documentation, including Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), intricate loop diagrams, detailed control system logic diagrams (e.g., function block diagrams, ladder logic), and complex cause and effect matrices.
• Experience in participating in FAT and SAT activities is highly desirable.
