Functional Safety Engineer (Automotive SOTIF Protocols)

Education Required:

B.E/B.TECH/M.E/M.TECH in Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical/Automotive/Mechatronics/Instrumentation/Controls Engineering from recognized universities.

Automotive Experience Required (Functional safety): 4 Yrs

Min. 2 years required in SOTIF (Mandatory)

Skills Set:

Good Knowledge/Experience required in following areas:

Experience in the area of safety standards (ISO 26262, ISO 21448) and related methods, e.g. risk analysis, functional and technical safety concepts (FSC and TSC). Support verification and validation for intended functionality.

Hazard analysis, scenario identification, and validation strategies as per of SOTIF activity

Performed SOTIF analysis for ADAS features. Identify triggering conditions and unknown unsafe scenarios.

Development of SOTIF safety concepts and mitigation strategies.

Good Exposure in safety analysis tools like HARA, FTA, FMEA and FMEDA and HAZOP

Exposure on system FMEA and system FTA recommended.

Development as per ISO 26262 ASIL level A/B/C.

Good communication and team skills

Profound analytical and conceptions skills, Ability for travel

Job Responsibilities:

Planning, coordination and proceeding of safety activities in safety-related development projects in appliance of requirements out of ISO26262, ISO 21448 and other safety standards, E.g. Hazard and risk analysis, generation of safety concepts for ADAS feature and supported in safety of the Intended Functionality (SOTIF) to support advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving projects

Prepare work products for compliance with ISO 21448

Analysis and evaluation of safety - critical functions according to the requirements of the standard and component- related safety concepts

Coaching of customers and project teams

Take part in project reviews, internally and the customer

Interact with external customer as per the project requirement (customer and counterpart team)
