Functional QA Analyst Loanscape

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Functional QA Analyst with a strong background in structured finance and commercial lending to join our Loanscape team. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on testing expertise in loan servicing platforms and a thorough understanding of end-to-end QA processes within the financial services domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, write, and execute comprehensive test scenarios and test cases based on business and functional requirements in the structured finance / commercial lending domain.
• Perform functional testing of Loan Management Systems (LMS) to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with business requirements.
• Conduct thorough defect management activities including defect logging, tracking, prioritization, and closure in coordination with development and business teams.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective test strategies.
• Validate loan servicing workflows, including loan origination, disbursement, repayment schedules, interest calculations, and fee structures.
• Participate in test planning, test estimation, and preparation of test summary reports.
• Ensure test coverage across functional, regression, and integration testing phases.
• Identify, document, and communicate risks and issues related to quality and testing.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in QA / Testing within structured finance, commercial lending, or loan servicing domains.
• Proficiency in Loan Management Systems such as CLS, ACBS, LoanIQ, or similar platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to write detailed, well-structured test scenarios and test cases from functional and business requirement documents.
• Solid experience in defect management using tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or equivalent.
• Good understanding of loan servicing processes including syndicated loans, commercial loans, and related financial instruments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Good to Have

• Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery environments.
• Familiarity with SQL for data validation and backend testing.
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in the lending domain.
• Prior experience with automation testing tools is an added advantage.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
