EMIL is developing three large coal mining projects with state of the art large fleet operations, advanced digital technologies under connected mine.

Role Details

Role Purpose:Responsible for Planning, Organizing and Monitoring all types of maintenance activities of HEMM (Heavy Earth Moving Machinery) and OME (Other Mining Equipment's). To improve & sustain the Availability and Reliability to meet targeted mining production. Prepare short term and long- term action plans to optimize maintenance cost and improve safety culture. Preparation of opex on zero based and Capex on Life cycle costing to achieve best in industry by adopting best practices. Spare parts planning & Inventory optimization to improve MTBF and MTTR of equipment's. Develop and improve competency of subordinates and skill levels of Technicians..

Key Responsibilities:

. Equipment Availability and Reliability: Plan, organise and monitor all maintenance of HEMM (Heavy Earth Moving Machinery) and other mining equipment to improve and sustain availability and reliability in line with targeted mine production

. Opex and Capex: Prepare opex on a zero-based approach and capex on life cycle costing, and build short and long-term action plans to optimise operation and maintenance cost to best-in-industry levels

. Spares and Inventory: Plan spare parts and optimise inventory to improve MTBF and MTTR of equipment

. Safety Management: Implement safety systems as per the Mines Act to create a safe, pollution-free workplace and strengthen safety culture across maintenance

. Quality Systems: Implement WCM and OHSAS through people involvement in maintenance to raise standards and equipment performance

. People Management: Develop subordinates and technician skill levels, and build a work culture that lifts productivity, growth and motivation while institutionalising best practices in the unit
