Implement, configure, and optimize SAP MM (Materials Management) functionalities to improve procurement, inventory management, and sourcing processes within manufacturing setups.
Analyze business processes specific to Indian manufacturing sectors to tailor SAP MM solutions effectively, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Lead or support full project lifecycles, including requirements gathering, system design, configuration, testing, user training, and post-implementation support.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as procurement, logistics, production planning, finance, and quality management to ensure seamless SAP MM integration with other SAP modules like SD, PP, FI/CO, and QM.
Drive process improvements and standardization in procurement and inventory management aligned with best practices and compliance relevant to Indian manufacturing environments.
Handle data migration and interface management between SAP ECC or S/4HANA and third-party systems or modules.
Conduct workshops and trainings to empower end users and stakeholders, ensuring effective adoption of SAP MM functionalities.
Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for SAP MM-related issues and suggest functional enhancements.
Document configuration, processes, and changes for audit and knowledge management purposes.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related fields.
Strong background in SAP MM implementation, configuration, and support with at least 410 years relevant experience, preferably on manufacturing industries in India.
Consulting experience, capable of advising clients on best practices without excessive customization.
Strong understanding of procurement, inventory management, materials planning, and accounts payable processes in manufacturing.
Good knowledge of SAP integration points with SD, PP, FI/CO, and QM modules.
Experience with data migration tools and understanding of SAP Activate methodology is beneficial.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills suited for client-facing and cross-team collaboration.
SAP MM certification and experience with SAP Fiori apps are advantageous.
Preferred Additional Skills
Exposure to project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
Hands-on knowledge of EDI, SAP workflows, and embedded analytics related to MM.
Experience with large Indian manufacturing companies such as those in automotive, chemicals, and fertilizers sectors is highly valuable.
