Functional Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

• Collaborate with Business Unit Specialists and stakeholders to elicit, analyze, review and validate business requirements.

• Conduct impact assessments and analyze current-state and to-be business/operational processes based on agreed requirements.

• Define detailed functional and non-functional requirements aligned with business objectives and project scope.

• Identify and manage requirements-related risks, issues and scope changes, ensuring clear documentation and stakeholder alignment.

• Perform impact assessments, effort estimations and change analysis for project change requests.

Functional Design & Solution Alignment

• Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and communicate requirements to System Analysts and technical teams.

• Ensure functional specifications are complete, consistent and traceable to approved business requirements.

• Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to clarify requirements and support solution alignment.

Testing & Implementation

• Review test plans, test scenarios and functional test scope prepared by the testing team to ensure adequate coverage of business requirements.

• Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.

• Coordinate defect prioritization, tracking and resolution with business, testing and technology teams.

• Validate delivered functionality against approved requirements and support business stakeholders through testing and implementation.
