About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Fullstack Engineer with a strong frontend focus to join a fast-moving digital experience team. You will be working directly within an established web stack - SvelteKit, Sanity CMS, and Vercel - building and maintaining high-quality customer-facing web experiences.
This role is for someone who thrives in day-to-day execution: implementing pixel-perfect designs, optimising performance, managing CMS content workflows, and working within a localization architecture. You don't need to set up infrastructure - you need to work confidently within it and ship great work consistently.
You'll collaborate closely with Design, Marketing, Product, and Leadership to deliver polished, high-performance web experiences used by millions of users.
Key Responsibilities
Frontend Development & Implementation
- Build and maintain web experiences using SvelteKit (primary) and TypeScript.
- Implement designs accurately and responsively across devices and screen sizes.
- Work within an established component library and codebase - extending and improving it over time.
- Ensure performant, accessible, and polished user experiences.
CMS & Content Workflows
- Build and maintain content models, pages, and publishing workflows in Sanity CMS.
- Support Marketing and Content teams in managing day-to-day CMS operations.
- Maintain reliable and scalable content publishing pipelines.
Localization & Internationalization
- Work within an existing localization architecture to support multi-language experiences.
- Implement and maintain i18n patterns across the website codebase.
Performance & Quality
- Monitor and improve Core Web Vitals and overall site performance.
- Support testing, observability, and deployment best practices on Vercel.
- Maintain high standards for code quality and maintainability.
Backend & Integrations
- Build and maintain lightweight backend integrations, APIs, and third-party service connections as needed.
- Support analytics tracking and experimentation implementations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Translate design and business requirements into clean, scalable technical solutions.
- Work closely with Design, Marketing, Product, and Leadership stakeholders.
- Take end-to-end ownership from scoping to deployment and production validation.
Required Skills & Experience
Must-Have
- 4–8 years of experience in Fullstack or Frontend Engineering.
- Strong production experience with SvelteKit or a comparable modern framework (Next.js, Nuxt, etc.) — SvelteKit experience is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and modern frontend development practices.
- Hands-on experience with Sanity CMS or a similar headless CMS (Contentful, etc.).
- Experience working within localization/internationalization architectures.
- Familiarity with Vercel deployments and frontend release workflows.
- Some backend experience - building APIs, integrations, or supporting services.
- Experience with analytics integrations and basic observability.
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional, non-technical stakeholders.
Good to Have
- Experience with privacy compliance and cookie consent implementations.
- Experience working within or contributing to a shared component library or design system.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or similar.
- Experience writing technical documentation.
Nice to Have
- Background in consumer products, digital experiences, or high-traffic web platforms.
- Experimentation mindset - comfortable supporting A/B testing and conversion optimisation.
