Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified and experienced lawyer to work with us full-time and serve as an External Member on the Internal Committee (IC) of our client organizations in accordance with Section 4(2)(c) of the POSH Act, 2013. Key Responsibilities:
- Be part of the IC (quazi-judicial body) and bring in independent, third-party perspective to the table.
- Ensure management of timelines as per law.
- Guide the IC on the legal framework of the POSH Act and other related laws.
- Provide legal insights as and when needed.
- Draft documents and reports from a legal lens as may be needed from time to time.
Qualifications:
- LLB / LLM preferably with experience in social work, women's rights, legal aid, human rights, gender justice, or workplace diversity or corporate or employment laws.
- Minimum 1 year of work experience with the corporate sector.
- Understanding of the POSH Act, 2013, rules, and case laws.
- Fluent with written and spoken English (knowing Hindi and Marathi will be preferred).
- Comfortable and experienced with drafting legal opinions, documents, reports petitions etc.
Preferred Skills & Attributes:
- Knowledge of workplace policies and legal systems.
- Interest or demonstrated ability to handle sensitive cases involving trauma and interpersonal conflict.
- Objectivity.
- Eye for detail & Compliance oriented.
- Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn, explore and grow
Desirable Achievements: Published articles, research, or conducted workshops on gender justice or workplace safety or Recognized by reputed forums/organizations for work in women's rights, law, or DEI.
