The Senior Full Stack UI Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering enterprise‑grade, scalable, and high‑performance web applications with a strong focus on modern UI engineering and full‑stack development. This role involves ownership of end‑to‑end application development, including user interface design, backend integration, and cloud‑native deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives, particularly within Retail Banking and Consumer Finance domains.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks, full‑stack development using Java/Node.js, hands‑on experience with AWS cloud services, and a proven ability to build secure, compliant, and user‑centric digital solutions for regulated financial environments.
Required Experience & Skills
- 8–12+ years of hands‑on experience in full‑stack application development, with strong emphasis on UI engineering.
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern UI frameworks such as React (preferred), Angular, or Vue.
- Extensive experience with Java (Spring Boot) and/or Node.js, REST APIs, and microservices architectures.
- Strong experience building scalable, modular, and maintainable UI components and frontend architectures.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS cloud services and deploying cloud‑native applications.
- Solid understanding of security best practices, authentication/authorization mechanisms, and OWASP guidelines.
- Experience with UI and API testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, etc.).
- Strong understanding of application performance optimization, cross‑browser compatibility, and responsive design.
- Exposure to Retail Banking and Consumer Finance applications, workflows, and compliance requirements is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in fast‑paced, agile delivery environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and business stakeholders.
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop modern, responsive, and reusable UI applications using frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue, following best‑in‑class UI and UX engineering practices.
- Develop and integrate backend services and APIs using Java (Spring Boot) and/or Node.js, supporting scalable microservices‑based architectures.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, UX designers, product owners, and backend teams to translate complex business requirements into intuitive and performant user interfaces.
- Build end‑to‑end application flows integrating UI, backend services, and cloud native components in AWS environments.
- Ensure application security, performance, accessibility, and compliance with enterprise and financial industry standards.
- Leverage AWS services such as S3, CloudFront, Lambda, API Gateway, and CI/CD pipelines to deploy and scale applications.
- Implement best practices for code quality, testing, version control, and CI/CD automation across the full development lifecycle.
- Support end‑to‑end UAT cycles with business teams, ensuring functional accuracy and user experience expectations are met.
- Drive continuous improvement through refactoring, performance optimization, and adoption of modern UI and full‑stack engineering practices.
- Contribute to technical documentation, reusable components, shared UI libraries, and architectural standards.
