Full Stack Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build and maintain features across the full stack of a digital banking platform - React.js (TypeScript) frontend modules and Node.js/Express (or NestJS) backend services - from user story to production

• Develop secure REST APIs and middleware services: request validation, authentication and session handling (JWT, OTP/MFA), rate limiting, and integration with downstream core banking and third-party APIs

• Implement frontend feature modules - dashboards, payment and transfer flows, multi-step forms with pre-filled profile data - with consistent loading, error, and empty state handling

• Design and work with relational and NoSQL data models (PostgreSQL, MongoDB), including migrations, query optimisation, and data access layers

• Maintain quality through unit and integration tests (Jest, Supertest, React Testing Library), participate in PR reviews, and uphold ESLint/Prettier and API design standards

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerised deployments (Docker), and environment configuration, and support troubleshooting across the stack in QA/UAT and production

MUST HAVE SKILLS

• 3 to 5 years of professional full-stack development experience delivering production web applications

• Strong proficiency in React.js with TypeScript - hooks, state management (Redux Toolkit / Zustand), routing, and component-driven development

• Solid backend experience with Node.js (Express or NestJS) - building REST APIs, middleware, authentication flows (JWT/OAuth2), and input validation

• Hands-on experience with databases - PostgreSQL or MySQL plus at least one NoSQL store (MongoDB/Redis) - including schema design and query tuning

• Experience with automated testing (Jest, React Testing Library, Supertest), Git workflows, and CI/CD pipelines; familiarity with Docker and at least one cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure)

• • Strong debugging skills across browser, API, and database layers, with clear written and verbal communication for client-facing delivery teams; banking or fintech exposure is a plus
