Full Stack Developer (Working from Office - Ahmedabad)
We are looking for a Full Stack Developer with strong experience in PHP and WordPress to join our development team in Ahmedabad. This role requires solid backend development skills combined with the ability to use WordPress as part of a broader product ecosystem (plugins, integrations, headless CMS, and system extensions). The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across the stack, handling backend logic, API development, and supporting frontend integration.
Please note that while this position is posted by RunCloud (Malaysia), the role will be under the payroll of our Indian counterpart, Etica Studio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend applications using PHP, ensuring scalability, reliability, and high performance.
- Build and enhance custom WordPress plugins, modules, and integrations that support RunCloud's ecosystem.
- Work with Headless WordPress setups (GraphQL or REST API) to support content delivery and system extensions.
- Collaborate with the frontend team to ensure clean integration between CMS, backend services, and UI layers.
- Optimize database queries, caching strategies, and WordPress performance for large-scale environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve backend and WordPress-related issues, including plugin conflicts and API failures.
- Develop and maintain REST API / GraphQL endpoints for internal and external integrations.
- Ensure high coding standards with proper testing, documentation, and security practices.
- Contribute to architectural improvements and propose enhancements to the current system design.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in PHP development (Laravel experience is a plus).
- Solid understanding of WordPress architecture, plugin development, and REST API/WPGraphQL.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and frontend frameworks (React, Vue.js, etc.).
- Experience with database management (MySQL) and performance optimization.
- Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
