Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have experience as a Full Stack Developer. Ideally the candidate will be proficient in Java with some exposure to Scala (due to leveraging a Spark based DSL) as well as having experience of a variety of other cloud technologies or techniques, including Spark, DataBricks, Azure Cloud, Snowflake and Power BI. Exposure to database modelling and work in a relational database like Sybase would be advantageous due to the nature of the existing system. Additionally experience with front end technologies such as Angular, relational databases, automated testing frameworks and build tools is beneficial.

The candidate will be familiar with techniques and concepts related to building high quality software in an agile fashion, including automated testing, tooling and DevOps tools/concepts.

Skills Required:

• Full-stack experience / Generalist across many technologies
• Java Exposure / Scala Exposure beneficial
• Angular / similar front end
• Distributed compute concepts: Spark, Data Bricks, Apache Beam etc
• Azure Cloud Technologies
• Cloud DB / Relational DB: Snowflake / Sybase
• Unix experience
