About the Role
We're looking for a proactive Full Stack Developer with a strong backend focus to join a growing engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while contributing across backend APIs, web development, and mobile applications.
You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to build new features, maintain existing applications, and support multiple platforms as business priorities evolve. The ideal candidate has experience delivering scalable consumer-facing applications and enjoys working in an agile startup environment.
Responsibilities – What you'll be doing
- Build and maintain modern web applications.
- Develop and support Android/mobile applications using Flutter.
- Design, develop and maintain backend APIs and services.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features.
- Maintain and improve existing applications across web and mobile platforms.
- Support backend systems that power consumer-facing applications.
- Troubleshoot issues and deliver timely solutions across the application stack.
- Contribute to technical discussions and architectural improvements.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities within a fast-paced startup environment.
- Take ownership of assigned projects from development through deployment and support.
Requirements – What we're looking for
We believe the ideal candidate will have most of the following:
- 5–8 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong experience as a Full Stack Developer with a backend-first mindset.
- Commercial experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Strong proficiency in: Python, Node.js, Flutter, React.js
- Experience developing consumer-facing applications at scale.
- Experience working on mobile applications published to app stores is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of application performance, scalability and security best practices.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with distributed teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Professional written and spoken English (approximately 3.5/5 or above).
- Relevant tertiary qualification is beneficial but equivalent practical experience is equally valued.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Next.js production applications.
- Experience supporting multiple application platforms simultaneously.
- Startup or scale-up experience.
- Familiarity with cloud deployments and modern development workflows.
- Experience collaborating with Data Science or Product teams.
- Experience working within Agile development environments.
Work Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- 09:00 – 17:00 IST/SAST
- Standard daytime working hours aligned with the client's engineering team.
Pay & Benefits – What we offer
- Competitive monthly compensation:
- India: ₹200,000 – ₹250,000 per month
