Position Overview
You'll build and maintain features across an AI-powered marketplace platform that transforms how enterprises manage employee accommodations. You'll work on Node.js backend and Next.js/React frontend systems, integrating AI agents and LLM capabilities while shipping features that serve both enterprise customers and housing providers. You'll be part of a 14-person team at a post-PMF startup where your code directly impacts workforce housing for global enterprises.
Role & Responsibilities
- Build and maintain RESTful API endpoints using Node.js and TypeScript
- Develop frontend features and components with Next.js and React
- Write and optimize MySQL database queries and schema changes
- Implement complex business logic and multi-step workflows across the platform
- Integrate AI agents and LLM capabilities using frameworks like LangChain and LangGraph
- Build and deploy serverless applications on AWS
- Write clean, testable, well-structured code following established engineering patterns
Must Have Criteria
- 2-5 years of professional full stack development experience
- Strong proficiency in Node.js for backend development
- Experience building applications with React and Next.js serving 50K+ users
- Working knowledge of MySQL including writing queries and understanding schema design
- Understanding of RESTful API design and development principles
- Experience with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, S3)
- Hands-on experience with LLMs or AI agent frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph)
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor)
Nice to Have
- Experience with Stripe or other payment platforms
- Familiarity with AWS Amplify or infrastructure-as-code tools
- Background in marketplace, housing, or relocation platforms
- Experience with MySQL stored procedures
