We are looking for a hungry, fast-executing Full-stack AI Engineer to be the core technical builder of our platform, SaakhSetu. Our platform, SaakhSetu, is the first of its kind, purpose-built for the nuances of India's agricultural credit system. You will be working directly with the founders to deliver affordable, secure, and impactful digital solutions. While we bring the deep domain expertise and banking context, we need you to bring the technical execution to empower financial institutions with intelligent software, AI-driven insights, and scalable cloud platforms. This is a foundational role. You will start by building hands-on, with a clear pathway to eventually build and lead an engineering team as we scale.
Responsibilities
- End-to-End Development: Architect and build the SaakhSetu platform from scratch using Python (backend/AI) and React (frontend).
- AI/ML Integration: Build and deploy machine learning pipelines, with a strong focus on Explainable AI (XAI) to ensure our entitlement scoring and decision support are transparent, auditable, and reproducible.
- Monitoring: Drift/stability monitoring (data quality + PSI/score shift) and fairness slice checks.
- Cloud and Data Setup: Design and set up our initial cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) and build the data pipelines needed to ingest and process agricultural/financial data safely.
- Rapid Iteration: Act as a pragmatic problem-solver who values speed, clean code, and getting impactful products into the hands of users.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a full-stack or backend engineer with strong proficiency in Python and React.
- Hands-on experience deploying machine learning models into production environments.
- Ability to set up cloud infrastructure, databases, and secure APIs from scratch.
- Builder mindset with bank-grade discipline (tests, security, audit logs, deterministic pipelines). You can figure things out independently and leverage modern tools to build efficiently.
- Bonus Points: Familiarity with Explainable AI (XAI), data engineering (ETL), or prior experience in FinTech/AgriTech. Deep domain knowledge is a plus.
