Job Summary
We are looking for skilled Full Stack Developers to build and enhance the Starling Portal, a customer and partner platform for MIPS Technologies. This role requires hands-on experience in both backend development using Python/FastAPI and frontend development using ReactJS/Next.js, deployed on AWS cloud infrastructure.
You will work on feature development across the full stack, implementing user interfaces, REST APIs, authentication flows, third-party integrations, and database operations while ensuring code quality, security, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Backend Development (Python/FastAPI)
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI framework
- Implement authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and JWT tokens
- Integrate with third-party APIs including Jira, Microsoft Entra ID, AWS services, and document management systems
- Design and implement database schemas, queries, and ORM models (SQL and NoSQL)
- Build custom ticketing system features with user attribution and workflow management
- Implement file upload/download functionality for large artifacts (firmware, SDK packages) using S3.
Frontend Development (ReactJS/Next.js)
- Build responsive, user-friendly web applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript/JavaScript
- Develop UI components for complex features including dashboards, ticket management, artifact downloads, and approval workflows
- Implement state management and data fetching patterns
- Integrate with backend APIs and handle authentication flows
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and performance optimization
- Write clean, maintainable CSS using Tailwind CSS or similar frameworks
AWS Cloud & Deployment
- Deploy and maintain applications on AWS services including Amplify, Elastic Beanstalk, S3, and CloudFront
- Configure custom domains, SSL certificates, and DNS settings using Route 53
- Implement proper IAM policies and security configurations
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot deployment issues
Authentication & Security
- Implement Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) SSO integration for workforce and external users
- Handle OAuth 2.0 authorization flows and token management
- Implement role-based access control and permission checks
- Follow security best practices for data validation, sanitization, and protection
Collaboration & Quality
- Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards
- Write unit tests and integration tests for backend and frontend code
- Collaborate with Tech Lead, designers, and stakeholders to deliver features
- Document code, APIs, and technical implementations
- Use Git for version control and follow collaborative development workflows
Required Qualifications
Core Skills
- 4–7 years of experience in full-stack web development
- Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI, Flask, or Django)
- Solid experience with React, Next.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
- Knowledge of authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT)
Technical Expertise
- Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB)
- Proficiency in Git and GitHub workflows
- Understanding of web security principles and best practices
- Familiarity with responsive design and modern CSS frameworks
- Experience with testing frameworks (pytest, Jest, React Testing Library)
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID or other enterprise identity providers
- Knowledge of Atlassian products (Jira) and their APIs
- Experience with Docker and containerization
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with observability tools (DataDog, CloudWatch)
- Knowledge of B2B customer portal development.
