Position Summary

Level: Sr. Engineer 2

As a Sr. Engineer 2 at Deloitte Consulting, you will design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale software solutions, lead the creation of robust pipelines and manage code deployment across environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional, global teams to translate functional requirements into effective deliverables, independently guiding and mentoring junior team members. Your role spans the full project lifecycle, including estimation, planning, execution, and tracking key metrics for analysis, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of solutions.

Work you'll do:

Lead discussions with business and functional analysts to understand requirements and assess integration impacts on business architecture. Prepare technical architecture and design, clarify requirements, and resolve ambiguities. Develop solutions in line with established technical designs, integration standards, and quality processes. Create and enforce technical design and development guides, templates, and standards. Facilitate daily scrum meetings, manage deliverables, and prepare weekly status reports for leadership review. Conduct detailed deliverable reviews and provide technical guidance to team members. Collaborate with onsite clients, coordinators, analysts, and cross-functional teams. Design templates or scripts to automate routine development or operational tasks.

  • Architect end-to-end cloud solutions, including infrastructure, platforms, applications, and integrations.
  • Select appropriate cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and design for scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Develop architectural blueprints, reference models, and integration patterns.
  • Assess requirements and design the target cloud architecture.
  • Oversee migration planning and execution, coordinating IT and business teams.
  • Select appropriate cloud services and migration strategies.
  • Guide engineering teams through implementation, testing, and cutover.
  • Present architectural decisions and progress to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency.
  • Oversee cloud migration, modernization, and optimization projects from planning through execution.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, developers, and business stakeholders.
  • Track progress, manage risks, and ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Provide guidance on cloud architecture, platform selection, and solution design.
  • Ensure best practices for cloud security, compliance, automation, and performance are implemented.
  • Evaluate and recommend cloud tools, platforms, and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Collaborate with business leaders, IT teams, and external partners to gather requirements and communicate cloud plans.
  • Present project status, risks, and outcomes to executive stakeholders.
  • Facilitate change management and training to support cloud adoption.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, trends, and best practices.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements for ongoing optimization and innovation.
  • Ensure cloud architectures meet security and compliance requirements.
  • Communicate progress and risks to executives and facilitate training for end users.
  • Develop, test, and refine prompts to elicit desired responses from AI models.
  • Experiment with prompt structures, context windows, and input formatting to improve output quality.
  • Test and compare different models and APIs to select the best fit for specific tasks.

Qualifications

Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

  • 10+ years of industry experience, with at least 6+ Experience in large-scale, complex modernization/cloud projects.
  • At least 3 years experience Managing/leading/Architecting large-scale, complex cloud applications.
  • Proven track record in migrating mainframe applications to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, containers, and serverless computing.
  • Strong experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of cloud-native architectures, microservices, containers, and serverless computing.
  • Proven track record leading cloud transformation projects.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and execution skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Understanding of compliance, regulatory, and security considerations in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud migration tools, automation frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Stay current with advancements in generative AI, LLMs, and prompt engineering techniques.
  • Relevant certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP Architect, TOGAF) are a plus.

Education:

  • BE/B. Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc. (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university.
