About Mediloon

Mediloon is building digital infrastructure for pharmacies in Germany. Our platform helps pharmacies offer modern digital services such as pharmacy websites, webshop functionality, appointment booking, mobile app features, prescription workflows, and secure integrations with healthcare systems.

We are now looking for a strong developer who can help us build and integrate advanced healthcare workflows, including e-prescription and CardLink-based prescription retrieval through NFC-enabled health insurance card scanning.

Role Overview

We are looking for a capable and reliable developer from India who can work remotely with our team on building a pharmacy webshop and mobile app ecosystem.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across backend, frontend, and mobile integrations. This role will involve working with healthcare APIs, authentication flows, WebSocket/REST APIs, mobile NFC flows, SDK integrations, and secure data handling.

This is not a simple website development role. We need someone who can understand complex technical documentation, evaluate integration options, build proof-of-concepts, and convert them into production-ready features.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain pharmacy webshop and mobile app features for Mediloon.
  • Integrate third-party healthcare APIs and SDKs.
  • Work on CardLink/e-prescription workflows involving NFC-based eGK card scanning.
  • Implement secure authentication flows, including OAuth-based development flows and future certificate-based/mTLS production flows.
  • Work with REST APIs, WebSocket APIs, backend services, and mobile SDKs.
  • Build backend modules for prescription sessions, status tracking, prescription token handling, and order flow integration.
  • Collaborate with the frontend/mobile team to create smooth customer journeys.
  • Review technical documentation and propose practical implementation plans.
  • Build proof-of-concepts before full production implementation.
  • Handle sensitive healthcare-related data with strong security awareness.
  • Write clean, maintainable, documented code.
  • Participate in planning calls, technical discussions, and sprint reviews.
  • Coordinate with external integration partners when required.
Required Skills
  • 2+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong experience with Node.js / TypeScript.
  • Experience with Next.js / React.
  • Experience building backend APIs and integrating third-party APIs.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs and WebSocket-based communication.
  • Experience with authentication flows such as OAuth/JWT.
  • Good understanding of secure backend architecture.
  • Experience working with databases such as MongoDB or PostgreSQL.
  • Ability to read and understand complex technical documentation.
  • Ability to debug integration issues independently.
  • Strong Git/GitHub workflow knowledge.
  • Clear written communication in English.
  • Comfortable working remotely with structured task tracking.
Strongly Preferred Skills
  • Experience with React Native, Android, iOS, or native mobile SDK integration.
  • Experience with NFC-based mobile features.
  • Experience integrating vendor SDKs into mobile applications.
  • Experience with healthcare, pharmacy, insurance, fintech, or other regulated industries.
  • Experience with mTLS, certificates, secure API communication, or PKI-based systems.
  • Experience with Docker and deployment workflows.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Vercel, or similar.
  • Experience working with German or European healthcare systems is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with FHIR, e-prescriptions, HL7, or healthcare interoperability standards is a plus.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with pharmacy, medical, or insurance software.
  • Experience with NFC card reading, smart cards, or secure mobile communication.
  • Experience with Android NFC APIs.
  • Experience with WebView-to-native app communication.
  • Experience with payment gateway integrations.
  • Experience with appointment booking systems or e-commerce checkout flows.
  • Experience with multilingual products for international users.
What You Will Work On Initially

The first major responsibility will be helping us evaluate and build the technical path for a CardLink-based e-prescription integration.

This includes:

  • Reviewing technical documentation from our integration partner.
  • Testing demo apps and API flows.
  • Understanding OAuth, WebSocket, REST, SDK, and proxy-based options.
  • Building a proof-of-concept for prescription retrieval.
  • Helping decide the best technical architecture for our pharmacy webshop/mobile app.
  • Preparing the integration for production-grade implementation.
Ideal Candidate Profile

You are a developer who does not need everything spoon-fed. You can read documentation, identify missing details, ask the right questions, and build a working solution.

You should be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and external APIs. You should be able to say clearly: This approach is risky, This is the better architecture, or We need to test this before committing.

We are looking for someone who can think like an engineer, not just complete tickets.

Working Style
  • Remote role based in India.
  • Regular communication with the founding team.
  • Work will be tracked through project management tools.
  • Clear weekly deliverables will be expected.
  • You should be available for scheduled calls with the Germany-based team when required.
  • Strong ownership and communication are essential.
What We Offer
  • Opportunity to work on a real healthcare technology product for the German market.
  • Remote-first working model.
  • Direct collaboration with the founding team.
  • High ownership of technical decisions.
  • Opportunity to work on advanced integrations involving healthcare APIs, mobile NFC, e-prescriptions, and pharmacy systems.
  • Long-term growth potential as the product and team scale.
