IBDIC (Indian Banks Digital Infrastructure Company) is a consortium of eighteen banks – Axis Bank, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, Federal Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, IDBI Bank, IDFC Bank, IndusInd Bank, Indian Bank, PNB, RBL Bank, Kotak Bank, South Indian Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, SBI, Yes Bank, Union Bank of India as investors.
The objective of the organisation is to build Public Digital Infrastructure for Banking using blockchain and other emerging technologies leveraging the network of members to enable high volume and cost- effective financial transactions.
IBDIC is looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer (JavaScript) to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and scaling robust applications, while contributing to architectural decisions and mentoring junior developers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance applications using NodeJS, ReactJS, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
- Architect and build RESTful APIs and microservices using NodeJS and Express
- Lead frontend development using ReactJS, ensuring responsive and optimized UI/UX
- Design efficient database schemas and optimize performance in PostgreSQL
- Implement caching strategies and system optimizations using Redis
- Containerize and manage applications using Docker; exposure to Kubernetes is a plus
- Ensure code quality through best practices, code reviews, and testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions
- Troubleshoot complex issues and improve application performance
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and DevOps practices
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in full stack development with strong focus on NodeJS and ReactJS
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (ES6+)
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Redis
- Experience with Docker; familiarity with Kubernetes is a plus
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and REST API design
- Experience with ORM tools (Sequelize, TypeORM, or Prisma)
- Solid understanding of state management (Redux / Context API)
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern deployment practices
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library)
- Understanding of application security and performance optimization
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Experience in mentoring or leading small modules/teams is preferred
