Job Description

We're looking for a hands-on Full Stack Developer who thrives across the stackfrom React + TypeScript on the front end to Node.js/Express and SQL (PostgreSQL) on the back end. You'll build performant, secure web applications, integrate and extend Payload CMS, and help us modernize our stack with GraphQL, strong SSO patterns (e.g., FusionAuth), and clean UI foundations (Radix UI). If you bring Python and AI/LLM experience, that's a bonus we're excited to leverage.

Years of Experience: 4-6 years

Responsibilities

Front end: Build responsive, accessible UIs in React + TypeScript, with component libraries and primitives (e.g., Radix UI).

Back end: Design and implement REST/GraphQL APIs in Node.js/Express; write secure, maintainable services with logging, error handling, and observability.

Data: Model relational schemas, write performant SQL, and manage migrations; PostgreSQL preferred.

CMS: Integrate and extend Payload CMS (collections, fields, hooks, access control, admin UI); configure content workflows and roles.

Auth & Security: Implement SSO flows (OIDC/OAuth2), ideally with FusionAuth; apply secure coding practices, input validation, and role-based access.

Build & tooling: Set up and optimize builds (Vite preferred, but any modern build tool is fine); enforce code quality with ESLint/Prettier and testing.

GraphQL (preferred): Define schemas, resolvers, and client integrations (e.g., Apollo Client/Server).

Quality: Write unit/integration tests (Jest, Testing Library/Playwright); participate in code reviews and CI/CD pipelines.

Performance: Profile front/back end, improve Core Web Vitals, optimize DB queries and API response times.

Bonus work: Use Python for scripts, automation, or data tasks; explore AI features (LLM-assisted experiences, content generation, semantic search) with appropriate guardrails

Required Skills

React.js (advanced) and TypeScript (advanced)

Express.js and Node.js (advanced)

SQL (strong), with PostgreSQL preferred

CMS experience (required), with Payload CMS preferred over other CMS platforms

GraphQL experience (preferred, such as Apollo) Radix UI (preferred)

SSO Implementation (preferred, such as FusionAuth)

Proven experience delivering production web applications end-to-end

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
