Key Responsibilities
Power BI Development
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive and dynamic Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Create advanced DAX calculations, measures, and data models to deliver actionable insights.
- Implement Power BI best practices for performance optimization, version control, and governance.
- Collaborate with end-users to understand reporting needs and translate business logic into visual solutions.
Microsoft Fabric & Data Engineering
- Leverage Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Dataflow Gen2, OneLake) to build modern data pipelines and unified data models.
- Integrate data from multiple sources (databases, APIs, cloud data lakes, flat files) for seamless reporting.
- Build and manage dataflows, transformations, and ingestion pipelines in Fabric.
- Ensure scalability, performance, and security in Fabric environments.
SQL Development & Optimization
- Write, debug, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views.
- Work on data validation, cleansing, and performance tuning for Power BI datasets.
- Collaborate with database teams to maintain data accuracy and consistency across environments.
Collaboration & Support
- Partner with business and IT teams to ensure alignment between reporting solutions and data architecture.
- Provide production support, troubleshoot dashboard performance, and manage refresh schedules.
- Maintain documentation, data dictionaries, and governance frameworks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in BI and data analytics roles.
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI (data modeling, DAX, visualization, publishing).
- Strong SQL development skills joins, indexing, query optimization, and data modeling.
- Proven experience in Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Dataflow Gen2, OneLake).
- Understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data architecture principles.
- Familiarity with Azure ecosystem (Synapse, Data Lake, or Databricks) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to ERP or enterprise source systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics).
- Experience integrating Power BI with Fabric pipelines and governance features.
- Knowledge of Python or PowerShell for automation (nice to have).
