Job Description

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
10+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in an architect or senior technical lead role.
Strong hands-on experience with Java (8/11/17), J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud and Hibernate/JPA.
Proven experience designing and building microservices and REST APIs at scale.
Strong experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
Experience with messaging and streaming tools (Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar).
Solid knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Experience with API gateways, authentication and authorisation (OAuth2, JWT, SSO).
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab or similar).
Strong communication skills and the ability to present designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience working in Agile environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Cloud experience (AWS, Azure or GCP) and cloud-native design.
Experience with observability tools (ELK/Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk).
Experience in banking or another regulated industry.
Knowledge of security practices such as OWASP, secure coding and threat modelling.
Architecture or cloud certifications (TOGAF, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect).
